Lala Mulk Raj Saraf Memorial Award
Instituted in memory of the “Father of Journalism”, for outstanding performance by a reporter working in J&K for any of the mass media.

How a name reaches the list
Nominations may be made by editors, colleagues, institutions or readers. The trustees look for the qualities the founders wrote about: a dispassionate study of day-to-day events in the right perspective, and fearless comment couched in decent and appropriate language.
